i`ve never quite believed the propaganda of various parties in india claiming that there was eternal strife between hindus and muslims .
some of their hindutva heroes including rana pratap were not anti muslim at all . rana pratap`s vanguard consisted of exclusively pathans . shivaji maharaj fired his soldiers for insulting islaam . aurangzeb observed hindu rituals .
it was a rajput who captured shivaji maharaj and took him to the emperor`s court .
